In 2006, the Developmental Disabilities Planning Institute (DDPI) created standardized assessment tools and collected comprehensive data on all residents in one of the 7 Developmental Centers (DCs) operated by the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). These data include assessments by Habilitation Plan Coordinators, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, Nurses, Psychologists, and Nutritionists. Information on new admissions to the DCs since 2006 has been added to the database.
In addition, DDPI has assessed DDD consumers in the state psychiatric hospitals who will be moving into community placements as part of the Olmstead process. These individuals include new admissions and those who will be discharged pending appropriate placement.
